#TBT Throwback to last week when the #BuildAKL winners enjoyed a free and tasty team lunch, were kitted out in their PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), had their 2nd drug screening, and signed their contracts at AWF!

First day of placement
Larissa and Sam, two of our brilliant #BuildAKL winners, on the first day of their placement with WaterCare visiting a water treatment plant to learn about how Aucklanders drink their water!

Pink hard hat anyone? Larissa's birthday on the job turned out to be life-changing: " it was really good to see female engineers. Joanna, an engineer at #WaterCare, has inspired me and made me feel even more determined to get into the industry ."

Where to from here
Larissa had her placement extended for two more weeks with WaterCare, working in New Connections . Larissa loves the idea of being an engineer, she is currently working and saving, looking at studying civil engineering in the near future.
