Earl was placed with Higgins which is part of the Fletcher family. Earl decided construction was a solid industry to get into, seeing  all the growth in Auckland.

#TBT Throwback to last week when the #BuildAKL winners enjoyed a free and tasty team lunch, were kitted out in their PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), had their 2nd drug screening, and signed their contracts at AWF!

"It was pretty fast! We can nail 250m of kerbing in one day." Earl and DJ are working on a Higgins project, placing new kerbs on roads around Auckland. Watch the video to see how it's done!

Where to from here?

Earl is continuing his studies in Construction Management at Unitec. The  work experience cemented his plan to eventually become an Construction Project Manager.

Through the work experience he has met with the Fletcher recruitment team with the aim to enter their intern program later in the year.
